As a freelance illustrator for more than 20 years, Barbara Ball interprets and educates through pictures. Working with publishers and publishing houses throughout the U.S., Barbara has extensive experience in illustrating "how-to" books, articles and other materials for children and adults. She also illustrates articles, stories and books for people of all ages.
Barbara's clients include Palo Alto, Calif.-based Klutz (Quilting, published in the fall of 2005), Lincolnwood, Ill.-based Publications International, Ltd. (After School Crafts, Crafty Paper Projects, Rainy Day Crafts and Year-Round Crafts for Kids) and Birmingham, Ala.-based Oxmoor House (Christmas is Coming!, Christmas with Southern Living, and Sew Easy, Sew Now!). She's also worked with several Nashville, Tenn.-based religious publishers to illustrate articles, classroom posters and stories. Her paper sculptures have been used in several children's storybooks.
A native of Alabama, Barbara has a BFA from Auburn University. She lives in Nashville with her husband.
