Barbara,
I'm not sure if you've received your check yet or not (mailed 9/13), but you'll notice it's a bit larger than the invoice you submitted. This is a thank you for being so easy to work with and so patient with all of our craziness. You have no idea how much it is appreciated! I am recommending you HIGHLY to all of my fellow acquisitions editors.
Thanks again!

Hi Barbara,
I just wanted to say thanks for your wonderful work! When I looked at your sketches for the stickers, I thought they were good and exactly what we needed. But when I received your final art and saw the color applied, I was delighted! Your color is so bright and perfect. Children will love to look at your artwork.
We are especially proud of the mural you did—the backpack and souvenir patches were terrific. Theresa was so pleased that she put your art in the hallway so everyone could see it when they walked by. Actually, most of your work goes on display. The snow scene of the church, the Easter egg tree—everyone has gotten to see them!
I truly appreciate your attention to detail and making sure you illustrate exactly what I need. I always know that your art will be accurate, age appropriate, and just the best ever. I can't say thanks enough!!

Dear Barbara,
Your work on the Quilting book was phenomenal! Really beautiful! I am so glad that we can now add you to our list of technical illustrators.
I pulled out the samples that you had originally sent me to share with Corie. We both agreed that you had the right illustration style for what she is looking for in her horse book.
Part of what has made Klutz's reputation for fine quality products is the simplicity in which we demonstrate instructions. We rely heavily on having the right illustrators working on the instructional illustrations. You definitely fit the bill.
If you have more work samples you'd like to send me, please do. I will route it around to my editors and designers so they know you're available and what kind of a range of styles you have.
Is your son still at Stanford? Would you ever get the chance to come visit us in Palo Alto? We'd welcome you to our Klutz office if you're ever in the area.
Thank you for all the wonderful work you did for our Quilting book!
Sincerely,
Jill Turney
Hi Barbara.
I’m really happy with the way quilting turned out, especially since my back problems had me sometimes wondering whether we were going to have a book at all! Your tech art glows and really makes a wonderful contribution to the overall quality of the finished product. And yes, I think the book does make quilting look inviting to a beginner.
Certainly feel free to use what I’ve said here and the other comments.
Let me know when your new web site is up.
